Riding north on Colinton Mains Drive and was crossing the mini roundabout, at which I've had too many incidents before. Black Mercedes (SN09 LDK) was approaching from my left from Colinton Road, probably 30m away when I started to cross the roundabout. Driver was looking to his right as he approached, while I was about in front of him. Driver continued to look right as he entered the roundabout and before I was clear of it -- I know this because I was watching him over my left shoulder, very afraid he would accelerate into me.

At the last moment, with the car no more than its own length behind me, the driver looked to the front again, whereupon I angrily waved my arm at him. Driver then overtook on the two lane road but didn't even glance to his left as he did so.

I'm growing very unhappy these days with the habits of many drivers who move off into a roundabout as I pass their front bumper -- not once I've passed them. It's pure impatience, and will one day lead to someone getting squished when their bike's tyres slide on tarmac covered in diesel.
