When a bus driver has to stop behind you at the Potterow/Marshall St junction then rev quite hard to try and catch you up around the bend at the top of Potterow he probably knows you're there, so there's little excuse for him then continuing to accelerate as he crests the rise in order to get just far enough ahead to be able to maliciously and deliberately swerve in front of you as he pulls into the bus stop opposite Brighton Street. Knowing he was extremely likely to be heading for the bus stop obviously helps but doesn't excuse him one bit; I was going 22-23mph so he could easily have just trailed me rather than taking up an extra lane around the bend to try and get ahead.
Reported to LRT who just called back to say they'll be checking the CCTV but also that that particular driver appears to already be under some sort of investigation for his driving.

"Further to our telephone call I have now fully investigated the matter you reported to our Customer services. The incident involved bus 838 at 1730pm on the afternoon of Saturday 26th June 2010. I have to agree with your version in that the driver has definitely failed to take into account the gradient of the road and speed you were cycling, this was compounded by the bend in the highway prior to the bus stop. He has no way of knowing how near you are to the near side of his vehicle as he is so intent on dealing with the road ahead. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the poor driving standard you experienced. Your comments will be passed on at his disciplinary interview. Thank you for taking the time to inform us of this matter."
He really should try and be aware of how close things are to his vehicle, especially things which are very close rather than the only other vehicle nearby which was probably already past the bus stop and out of his area of immediate concern when he tried to swipe me...
